Scary Snow Incident

Well, I was on my way to work yesterday. My car radio was blasting a catchy dance tune and the sun was shining warming my face through the window. Everything was right in the world. Then within a matter of seconds terror reared it's ugly head.
A car that had been lingering off in the left lane made a sudden decision to swing in front of me and put on it's brakes. So fast, in fact, that I was I unable to put my breaks on fast enough to evade an accident. So, I made a hard swerve right into a snow bank. The front half of the car was buried deep in the freshly impacted snow and the back half jutted out into the highway blocking a whole lane of traffic.
At first, I was completely stunned and worried I might have hit someone. I started to shake fiercely and made a pathetic attempt to back out but to no avail. Then I got out of my car and the stood dumbfounded at the sight to behold as cars slowly tried to make their way around the mess.
I wasn't sure what to do, who to call, or when help would arrive if i did manege to get a hold of someone. So, I decided to dig one of my front wheels out. I paddled the snow out from under the hood with my bare hands which quickly became numb. When I stood up go back in my car for mittens, I was greet by urban looking gentlemen.
He had pulled over to the side of the road and was assessing the damage as he walked up to me.
"Do you need any help?" he asked.
Before I had a chance to respond he started to climb over my car to the front and made a gesture for me to get in my car and out it in reverse. Three other gentlemen joined us while we were making attempt after attempt to back the car out. It was a most glorious demonstration of humanity. Five random strangers who were brought together out ot sincere kindness and concern for each others well being. In the end, we were able to back my car out onto the road.
Victory.

This was, by far, one of the most incredible Otakon's to date.
Thursday:
Woke up and put on my pretty face for Hyde and K.A.Z. Then I went off to collect my crew (Kalle, Tom, and Andy). On a personal note: I believe riding to Otakon with all dudes is a whole heck'alot easier than doing it with a bandwagon of women (just saying). Drove to Lutherville, took light rail to BCC, and arrived promptly at 1:00. We were booked at the Hilton which had surprising cramped rooms. But, no matter, I was too busy being super excited for VAMPS. After checking in and touching up my makeup, I decided it was time to head down and get my preregistrations. At first glance the likelihood of getting my ticket before the concert seemed all but impossible. The line stretched almost completely around the convention center. Where do all these anime fans come from? xD luckily I ran into two of the coolest people ever, Amii-chan and Pi-chan (iluvm). We were all stuck at the end of the line together. That is, until Pi-chan wondered off and discovered there was a second line formed for those people who had VAMPS tickets. They were allowing them to get preregister before everyone else. SCORE! After waiting in line and collecting our Ota-passes Amii and Pi-chan left to get ready at their hotel while Kalle and decided to head off to the Sonar building. I couldn't believe the line when we arrived. It had already spread down around a neighboring church and along 3 blocks. Crazy. Some people told us they had been waiting in line for 2 days. Seriously?!
I was able to meet up with two girls I’d known from the Miyavi concert in Texas and we maneuvered our way up to the left hand corner of the stage. Choice seating. We waited for close to an hour, in thick humid air, without ventilation, but it was worth every second. The moment Hyde walked out onto the stage I was revitalized with a new will to live.

14. TROUBLE ((By now I had slipped between the bars and was pressed up against the stage and was being taunted by Ju-ken. He would come just inches away from me only to pull back and giggle. Then he decided to switch positions with Hyde, who was now standing above me gazing down with his cheeky grin. I held my hands up above me praying he might slap it before he walked off. But, no. Even better, he knelt down right in front of me so that his face and mine where at the same level. WTFUKHOLYCRAP!!!!! There were only two other girls as close as I was and we couldn't believe it. I reached out my hand gently rubbed his shoulder and he giggle. After realizing he didn't mind I began to stroke his arm unmercifully trying to yell above the crowd "Dance, baby. Dance!" Why, I don't really now. I never really know what to say when I am around jrockers, but whatever he thought I said, he must have enjoyed it, because no sooner had I said it he looked up from his guitar and made COMPLETE EYE CONTACT and smiled the most adorable smile I had ever seen. (I am melting in my seat right now remembering it). Before he got up to go back to center stage I was able to pat him on the head. So. Adorable.))

Even after they left and I realize how sweaty and gross I was, life was that much sweeter. My whole body was numb with excitement (actually, it was numb because I was pressed up against the freaking woofer, but I like to be romantic about these things.) On my way to meet up with Kalle I was able to snatch a Ju-ken pick off the floor before some behemoth truck driver type was able to bend over and reach for it. Yey for me!
Friday:
Woke up at 7. Sat in VAMPS line from 9-1 with Amii and Pi-chan. Met:
Christy: The super coolest Mana Mor, ever.
Jess (ibeleive): 17 high school graduate that was uber in love with all things Hyde
Hattie: Most defiantly the coolest Chinese Lolita I've ever met
And a whole mess load of other awesome peoples.

After the VAMPS panel dispersed. I went with my friend Megan to Kanon's Q&A and then to her autograph session. Gave her pink cotton candy scarf. Got my huge poster signed. SCORE, again.
Then we all dined at the Hard Rock Cafe. Freakin Yum!
Yaoi-Game Panel: So much fun with Lisa. Gay time!
Bible Black +18 Showing: Hilarious. Couldn’t hear a thing but the crowds commentary made it feel like Science Theater 3000.
Saturday:
Dealer’s room. Bought Viviane Westwood necklace, black parasol, and saw a mess load of my friends walking around. Supa'kewl. I was really having a blast. However, when I glanced at my cell phone I noticed poor Ami-chan had been trying to get in touch with my all morning to let me know about the Kanon concert which had totally slipped my mind.
When I arrived the line was already almost out the door. Then out of the ocean of heads I saw Amii stand up from the very front of the line and wave at my. I was sooooooo relieved. When they seated us I was in the front row! It was great. Quaff opened. They were acceptable. Kanon was most excellent.
Later that night, whilst Amii was at the rave, Pii-chan and I scampered off the HD Theater for moar +18 fun. Saw this crazy samurai anime about a lone assassin who kills all these samurai and one man gives himself felacio....idunno. But, it happened.
Sunday:
Got another autograph from Kanon. Made a few more friends. Bought some sailor moon manga. And went home a happy duck.

It was totally one of the most memerable experiences of my life. I'm so happy I gave up my life for 4 days and devoted it to Miyaveh-veh-veh~!
DAY ONE:

When the doors opened I jumped over chairs, beat small children and old people and then asserted my dominced all over the side of the cat walk. (best area to catch him while he's struting his stuff ;3) THEN IT HAPPENED *DOOOOOOM* He walks through the door, and I'm all GAAAAAAHHHHHHHOMFGYAHFANGIRLSCREAMNOSEBLEEDSPASUMDED!!!!!111ONE1 After all the questioning(which, BTW, I got to hold the mic and ask him a question xP) he gets up and starts catwalking it. And as he whips back around and scoups out all the ladies along the walk, I hoist my scarf up into the air and scream with every bit of strenght I can muster 'MIYAVI SAMA DE KORE WA TSUKUREMASHITAAAAAAA!!! (Master Miyavi, I made this for you with love)' to the point were I think my lungs are going to explode. Once upon a convention...

The moar i look at the title of this entry, it makes me feel like I should be talking about some super special awesome event that took place at a convention past. But, sadly, it is not. Instead, I needed a place to rant about how excited I was to hear that 雅-Miyavi is going to be a Anime Matsuri in Texas~!
First of all, HE IS KABUKI laksjdoiewowenf GLORY BEE~!!!!! *o* AHHHHGAHHARGFLIPPINSPASUMNOSEBLEEDANDDIE
So much better now. I am trying to get with two friends of mine and make a journey to the deserts of our great country to see DA MAHN~!! <3

New Year's Resolution

I have been meaning to for the longest time to get together a list of all my resolutions. It took a while to fish out the unreasonable goals. This year, I tried to focus more on bettering myself and solving a few personal problems. I lack not in unresolved issues.
1. Be more Health concious- eat vitamns, no soda, exersize
2. Visit Canada
3. Start Learning French
4. Practice Calligraphy
5. Save up 1000 dollars
6. Learn 100 Kanji
7. Watch more Anime (I have a habit of rewatching ones I've already seen)
8. Make an effort to be more positive
9. Spend more time with my family
10.Write consistently to my pen pals
11.Be more consistent with my reading
12.Learn how to cook something new
13.Go to the Opera
14.Make a trip to the Beach (Purhaps, try surffing)
This list is subject to addition. I hope you all have a wonderful year~!
